Sew Mama Sew Giveaway

this time last year I was hopping about all over blogland, amazed at the wonderful generosity of the sewing community. A year later I have my own little blog and I have learnt that that generosity runs deep and true amoungst the friends I have made online.

I cannot wait to meet some of you in less than 2 weeks at the retreat!

So to say thanks to everyone I wanted to join in with the giveaway day, but as I am currently snowed under working through commissions trying to get pennies together for the big London trip I haven't had time to make something especially for the giveaway. What I do have is a sample piece I made for the recent FTLOS swap. I was so pleased with how the sample came out, I really could have sent it to my partner, had it been in her colours. It has been hanging in my sewing room waiting for a new home, I hope you can love it!

Two large storage pockets with space at the bottom for pinning notes and ideas

Button closure on large top pocket

Entry is open to UK residents only due to postage costs, sorry (unless you will be at the fq retreat, in which case I will happily bring it along)

To enter you must be a follower and do the following:

  • Leave a comment, Id love it if you tell me what sewing hardware you love and where you get it, ie zippers, key fobs etc
  • For an extra entry like my Facebook page
Good luck! I will draw a winner at 8pm gmt on the 25th May 2012. For more chances to win head over to the Sew Mama Sew page.

Thank goodness I live in the UK as I would LOVE to win this. I NEED this!! I LOVE wonky stars!! If I don't win may I have the pattern? :) Thanks for the chance, even though I am #1.

Have just 'liked' you over on Facebook. Thanks for the chance to win this awesomeness!!

Oooh...what do I love? What do I love? Zippers from Zipit, of course. But my most used hardware is my computer as it gives me inspiration and motivation from blogs like yours....aw. (Can I get bonus points, here?)

PS - I'll be at FQly.

Oh I thought you were keeping that! I still love it... lol My fave bit of kit is my walking foot... and my rotary cutter.... :-)

whoa, so pretty and useful!
the hardware I use more is my sewing machine really. I avoid most hardware because I can't find any at many places other than John Lewis and they charge 3quid for a zipper!

I think my favourite piece [or pieces] of hardware are the automatice needle threader on my machine and the ones I use for hand sewing!

I get a lot of my zips from Birmingham's rag market! Julia at gonetoearth is great for bag hardware!

I love the organiser, thanks so much for the chance to win it!
I love my quarter inch foot if that counts? My seams are so much neater now.
I liked you on Facebook too.

I thought this was such a cool thing when you first posted it and I'm so excited that you're giving it away! I hope your swap partner likes the one you made her.

I have had a hard time finding good hardware, except zippers which I always get from the lovely and awesome zipit on etsy.

Hi, just popping over to say a big THANKS for my bee block! I love it!

I might as well enter your giveaway too, tee hee! I like zippers from zipit on Etsy.

Oh whoops, well I am not in the UK, but I do like zipit. Maybe they ship to the UK? The price of the zippers is really cheap and they are good quality.

Phew I live in the UK - and love love love this (I have fingers and toes and ears crossed). I like zips, and I either get them from car boot sales, or from Joan down at my local wool shop - she always has a good enough selection for me. ( and I'm following)

I liked you on facebook (see you at the retreat xx)

Oh thats a fab prize (very glad I live in the UK) I think my favourite bit of kit is my sewing box, everything is stored in there so I can actually find things (or thats the theory anyway)

Unknown said...

I'm also following you on facebook :-)

I don't really use much hardware, apart from those magnetic clasp things for bags, which I buy in fabric land for about 50p. Looking forward to meeting you at fq london

Dianne Neale said...

I got some zipper pulls from Zippit and they are gorgeous! I don't live in the Uk but I'm going to be at the FW retreat and look forward to meeting you there

Kat said...

Ohh, this is a brilliant idea. Will you have a pattern for it if I don't win it?

I get basic stuff in Goldhawk Road and bag making supplies mostly at U Handbag.

I don't know yet if I'm going to love it or not but I just bought a circle stitching attachment for my Bernina. I thought it would be fun to quilt some circles and that this would make it easy to do.

I love my clover mini sewing iron. It really makes a difference to have the iron right there, and it makes pressing seems open so easy.

I LOVE your blog! I am inspired to start one, wondering if I blog if I will have time to sew???
