Well I am certainly catching the Christmas bug....especially now the weather is turning!
I was thinking wouldn't it be nice to boost our stashes with some cute Christmas fabric, no piles of holly upon holly twee prints, just nice fresh modern Christmas prints. The kind we would be proud to use.
So how about a wee swap
Who would be interested?
I would need 28 participants, each to purchase a meter of fabric and cut it into 56 charm squares of 5". You post to me, I do some jiggery pokery and send you back 28 different prints with 2 squares of each, magic! Then you can get to work creating a scrummy Christmas runner, perhaps to tie in with the swap over at Susan's blog Canadian Abroad? Or perhaps a cushion or stocking.

If we get enough interest I'll set up a flikr group so that we can post our fabric choices to make sure we have no duplicates, but if we don't get 28 we wont be able to run with it so get outside, shout from the rooftops, Emily is hosting a crimbo swap!! If you shout really loud and get lots of peeps on board I may even be able to rustle up a button for us all :)
And dont forget, its only 2 days now until my 1 year anniverisary of starting trading with the patch so be sure to pop back on Monday for my giveaway!

haha I looked at it too and thought I wasn't up for the expense of sending to the US! count me in as long as it would be ok to use 2 different fabrics from the same range (so each swapper would get one of each). I'm not buying anymore fabric I promise!
Drat - just asked if I could join the US one! Maybe I could buy 1 more metre though....! Much rather do a Brit thing so count me in - will now be swamped by Christmas fabrics but who cares!

i came over from Lily's Quilts, and i'd love to join in! i don't have any modern christmas fabrics in my stash at all, that obviously needs to be rectified!
