Today I am tired, Easter holidays are tiring! So I'm going to give you lots of photos and a few words. Probably best that way!
Hugest thanks to Jenna at Sew Happy Geek, without her awesome QAL this wouldn't be here :-)
everyone casually drapes their quilts over the garden bench - right? Well they do when the 7 year old on hand is too short to hold it up! |
Circle quilting, may not be the last time you see this! |
FMQ squiggly lines |
Ooops, so those quilt labels I printed are not washable after all ;-) |
Obligatory folded quilt shot! |
Backed in a £1 charity shop flannel sheet that took days of hunting for! |
Quilt details:
Sew.Happy.Quilt QAL
Top Pieced in Denyse Schmidt Hope Valley
Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 batting (single layer)
Backed in Cotton Flannel Sheet from Charity Shop
Machine quilted in a circle pattern and FMQ squiggly lines in borders.
I have another quilt finish for you tomorrow! (no wonder I am tired hehe)

The circles are gorgeous! Did you do them freehand?!
Loving your work my dear!
It looks fantastic! How did you do the circles?
Looks great!! Love all the quilting!! =D
Yes they are tiring!!
The quilt looks wonderful - think you better edit your post to say how you did those circles because I want to know to!!
Sorry about the label ;) doesn't detract from the brilliance though!
Its an absolute beauty, you should be really happy with it!
Great piecing, great quilting - Well done Emily ! You must be so proud and with good reason!
Grrr re the label - I just quilt mine FMQ style on the quilt somewhere and it is easier than you think! Practice a bit first though!
Looks fab, love the circle and FMQ combo. Bugger on the label though...
I just followed through to you from Flickr, your quilt looks lovely. Those circles are just perfect!!
love your quilt
Gorgeous quilts - I have to make a modern sampler quilt...add it to the bucket list!
Love that quilt! I back all of my quilts in charity shop finds, sheets, single quilts etc: it's a fraction of the price!
It looks amazing! I though about doing that QAL but never got round to it. Wish I had now after seeing yours!
Oh my goodness you're quilting mad! Look at you! The circle quilting here is just gorgeous. Great choice!
